As a services company for information technology fme already looks back on many successful years.

In 1989 Frank Mittelstaedt, today one of fme's managing directors, founded Frank Mittelstaedt EDV-Beratung & Systementwicklung. Six years later fme AG was established. The three letters are an acronym for the founders of fme:
frank mittelstaedt and michael engelen.

Over 70 employees, "migration-center" achieves "Designed for Documentum" status. New office in Cluj, Romania

New fme office opens in Frankfurt and serves mostly the pharmaceutical industry. fme launches migration-center 1.4. Foundation of fme switzerland AG in Zurich

Both migration-center and smartBar achieve "Designed for EMC" status as an application.

fme offers cross platform design, efficient introduction and use of Enterprise Content Management

The total of employees within the fme group has risen above 100
