One of the largest global eye care companies was in search of a unified records management solution. The current solution was a legacy OpenText Documentum system in the need of an upgrade and was also dispersed throughout several of the client’s locations across the globe. The costs associated with upgrading the solution due to the challenging nature of a new implementation and the consolidation, prompted the search of the new Archive Record Retention solution.
Additionally, a spin-off dictated a move to a different infrastructure and turned into the driver of tight legal timelines. Together with Ephesoft, fme successfully completed the project based on Alfresco within the tight one-year timeline and the client was able to successfully spin-off systems on time and within budget.

Die fme AG konzipierte und implementierte im Rahmen des Proof of Concept eine Analyseumgebung in Qlik Cloud Analytics. Über das Qlik Cloud Data Gateway wurden SAP-Auftrags- und Personaldaten sowie lokale Maschinendaten sicher in die Cloud integriert, harmonisiert und in strukturierten Qlik-Datenmodellen erstmals auswertbar zusammengeführt.
Definierte Schlüssel wie Auftrags-ID, Maschinen-ID und Zeitstempel ermöglichten die konsistente Verknüpfung von Maschinendaten mit SAP-Auftragsmetadaten. Auf dieser Grundlage entstanden in enger Abstimmung mit dem Kunden zwei fachliche Prototypen:
- eine HR-Analyse auf Basis von SAP-Personaldaten mit interaktiven Dashboards, Drilldowns, Hierarchie-Filtern und KPI-Berechnungen wie Headcount, FTE und Organisationsstrukturen
- eine Produktionsanalyse, die Maschinendaten mit Auftragsinfor mationen kombiniert und Durchsatz, Stillstandszeiten, OEE-nahe Kennzahlen sowie auftragsbezogene Performance-Analysen visualisiert
Regelmäßige Workshops mit den Fachbereichen stellten die fachliche Validierung von Kennzahlendefinitionen, Mapping-Regeln und Visualisierungen sicher. Die Bereitstellung der Prototypen erfolgte über einen dedizierten Qlik-Cloud-Tenant mit rollenbasierter Zugriff steuerung für die Fachbereiche.
